Give honour where honour is due – Warriors behind the scenes

In Surabaya, I found a faithful prayer and intercessor praying for the nations, Voice in the City and those in need. She has been in a coma for 3 months and suddenly woke up. Being connected to a life support machine, this woman is bright and a powerful prayer warrior. Ruth is truly a joy to be with and being able to speak freely even while connected to her life support machine, you soon discover the depth of her spirit, the love for the Lord and the deep passion for prayer. I visited her in her home and we laughed, prayed and shared. It was a joy to us both.

But then that is also true of the entire “prayer force” of Voice in the City in 64 nations including our team in different offices and our friends standing with us. They pray, fast, proclaim the Word of God, stand in the gap; being guided and lead by our own Heike Staiger, a faithful woman of God herself. Yes we can never take any glory for ourselves, we are all one in building God’s Kingdom together, the powerful truth of Ps 133 “…. For there the Lord commanded a blessing, even life for evermore…”
