Dear Friends
Greetings from our office in Frankfurt, Germany. Christmas is behind us and now we look forward to a New Year fulfilling the dreams and purpose of life. We pray the same for you – that 2024 will be a year of visions, hopes and dreams, where you will come to the place of the manifest goodness of God in your lives.
For us as a Ministry, we continue to run with the Vision God gave to us 27 years ago on the 1st of January 1997. We launched the ministry in Faith – and to this day we continue to operate in Faith, believing the Lord for His guidance and provision, and the grace that we need, to do what He has called us to do. Many of you have been with us all these years and we are so thankful for your faithfulness to the Lord and to us. Others have joined us along the way, and for you we are just as grateful.
May I be as bold as to remind us all why we called this Ministry ‘Voice in the City’. It is because the Lord so clearly spoke to Suzette and said, ‘When the Voice of God is heard in a City through the body, then God is exalted’.
God gave us 5 main pillars to which we continue to hold and press into, and we have seen over the years how He has formed and enlarged us in these, many times through tears, fasting and prayer – but at the end He has been glorified. We expect 2024 to be no different.
The 5 Pillars Remain – just in brief, an overview
Mark 11:17 – Teaching and training in Prayer in meetings where we were invited to minister. It has been key for us to also sow in Prayer for you, our partners. We know that without Prayer we are not effective or productive. In our office Prayer plays a very predominant role. Every morning, as a team, we have Prayer and devotions. Several times a year we hold Prayer and Fasting days to pray for you and to hear fresh from the Lord.
Proverbs 13:14 – Teaching and Training the body in Evangelism, basic Christian living and impacting the youth with Relevant Biblical Foundations. Training Centres in Papua Indonesia – teaching people the Word and how to read and write, how to farm the land and so much more.
Mark 16:15 – This has been a wonderful journey as we have reached out into so many new areas. Suzette has travelled over the mountains to reach the unreached tribes, been in dangerous situations, in prisons, in slums, in palaces and homes, but one thing remained the focus, the Gospel must be preached. Through many Nations we have had the privilege to see every tongue, tribe and Nation coming to the Lord Jesus. In Europe we have started a youth work named ‘Relevant’, reaching out to this lost generation with the truth of who they are, and giving them a Godly identity! We have launched together with another ministry, a work with the prostitutes in Frankfurt and a drug rehabilitation centre – and so much more.
Proverbs 19:17 – This ministry overlaps into all the other Pillars because without a servant heart to help, we would not be effective in our mission. We Serve in prisons, churches, on the streets, in the villages, and wherever God leads us. We also want to Serve you, our partners, in prayer and support where we can. Please let us know how we can Serve you better in 2024.
Zechariah 8:20 – We stand together with local churches in training and teaching regarding how to practically reach their City using different ways of Evangelism, prayer and outreach. These projects are time intensive, but very fruitful.
So, for 2024, we start with vision and passion to continue what God has called us to do. I believe this will be even more dynamic for the Lord, and the Holy Spirit whispers again in my heart – Isaiah 42:16. God will lead us down a way we have not been before, an unfamiliar path – let the adventure begin! He will make the darkness light before us, and smooth out the road ahead of us, and He says, “Yes, I indeed do these things and will not forsake them.”
This is the promise for us and for you for 2024. We continue the mandate, and with your help, together we will see 2024 bringing in souls, healing the broken hearted, reaching the lost and helpless, and the people of God inspired to greater things.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer. This year more than ever do we need to see a breakthrough in the finances, and we ask you to pray with us that every need will be met. We will pray for you the same. Thank you for all who sow your finances into Voice in the City. May the Lord continue to grant the ministry the Wisdom of how and what to do!
