My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness

Grace is one of the most important concepts in the Christian faith. The cross and Jesus´ blood are symbols of God’s grace upon human kind. God’s grace is defined as undeserved favour. God’s only begotten Son died on the cross, because He loves us so much.

His love goes hand in hand with grace. Even though we don’t deserve it, He bled on the cross for us. Yet He rose from the dead and is the victorious King of all kings, and as believers, this is the foundation of our faith. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). That is why His cross, the symbol of God’s love, and His grace, are intertwined.

Grace however is much more than just a theological concept in the Bible.

As mentioned, it is the basis of God’s love, which has been poured out to us, and without it we could never survive spiritually. Eventually, Paul describes it like this: “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”” (2 Corinthians 12:9a NIV). In our weakness and through life’s storms and seasons, He is strong and carries us.

God’s grace is what makes us stand firm in faith. He gives us power to live a holy life, and without grace this is impossible. As we enter the year 2024, we will face challenges and at some point, we might struggle in different areas. I am sure however that we will overcome by His grace and mercy. Thank You Jesus!
