Relevant Frankfurt Connect – Suddenly there were no more chairs …

by Benjamin Fech

Suddenly there were no more chairs and we quickly had to put up picnic benches because so many young people had come.

In this short report, I would like to share with you what happened at our last “Frankfurt Connect” Youth Service in Frankfurt, Germany, held on March 16 2024.

As usual, we met with all the volunteers and leaders an hour before the meeting for prayer and in this time we felt a strong spirit of unity from the start. After the prayer the doors to the venue were open and quickly the room filled up. Then suddenly we had no more chairs and had to set up picnic benchesfor seating because we hadn’t expected so many young people. That was a good problem to have, of course.

We started with an Ice Breaker game and then moved into a time of deep worship. God’s presence was strong and God spoke to the young people during this time through impressions and words of knowledge.

We then heard a powerful sermon from Pastor Tedros Anbessa, of Haven Church in Frankfurt. His topic was about “new beginnings”.

Jesus is not interested in giving you an update of your old life, but He wants to give you a new heart, a new beginning!

 Pastor Tedros

Many young people responded to the call to prayer and came forward to receive personal prayer. During this time we experienced how God liberated and healed hearts.

The service ended with us all rejoicing and dancing around the room and celebrating God for what He had done.

As a special, MRK, a Christian rapper, performed several songs, magnifying God once again, and then we enjoyed a nice time of fellowship and good food and had a great time of connecting with each other.

We see how hungry this young generation is for God, but at the same time many of them are also going through really hard times. For this reason, we have set up a discipleship course that will now take place every Tuesday evening from March 19 to April 9.

A number of young people have signed up and if you are reading this, I would ask you to support us in prayer. Thank you very much!

The next “Frankfurt Connect” youth service will take place on July 6th at the All Nations Church in Bad Homburg. For more information, please visit our website and look under “Events”.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the participating churches and organizations for their wonderful cooperation. Together it was possible for the evening to take place. All glory to the Lord!
