Celebrating Mother’s Day in the brothels of Frankfurt
Tuesday 13th May our Treasures team wanted to do something special for the ladies in the brothels. Mother’s Day had just pasted and many of them are mothers and separated from their children. We decided to make small flower bouquets for the women to remind them of their worth and the love of God for them. One week before our team was together during time of worship and prayer asked God to lead us as we also prepared beautiful cards with different Scriptures and words of encouragement for these women.
As always prayer is a vital part of this ministry, and the team spends a min of 45 mins in prayer each Tuesday before we go out. This was no different, but we sensed God was preparing many of them to step through their Jordan and on to the other side where there was dry and new ground. We then went into groups that went into the brothels another group ministered to the street prostitutes while, yet another group stayed to pray during the entire outreach time.
We found that the women were open to talk even with many customers coming and going. The women liked to talk about their families, and we were able to pray for some. They were very blessed with the flowers and cards the meaning behind them – we told them “The God that made these flowers loves you!”
At the end of the evening the team usual came together to share what the Lord has done and then to pray and give thanks for the evening.
Thank you for your continuous prayers for this vital ministry and we are expecting God to move in a powerful way in the lives of the woman we have the privilege to minister to.
