JDN Women’s Conference

JDN is a national prayer network covering the whole of Indonesia. Thousands of prayers are united under this network. Daniel Panji is the leader of the network; he is a man with vision and a passion for prayer in this nation, and needless to say, he is also a friend of Suzette.

The Annual Women’s Conference took place in Bali, which is about 1 hour 15 minutes flight from Jakarta, and Suzette was the main speaker this year. More than 600 women from 264 cities travelled to be part of this conference, many of them coming a great distance and travelling for up to 3 days. At the opening meeting many wore their local “Batik” clothes and traditional accessories. On Thursday morning Suzette spoke about being in intercession with the attitude and heart of a servant. In the evening meeting Suzette talked about being “Kings and Priests”; she taught that, in order to serve the people, prayer must also lead to action.

At the request of many the evening meeting was “open to the public”; there were many local people, and at least 1000 people attended. Under the deep conviction of the Holy Spirit many cried out to God to help them to change their lifestyle and to serve both in prayer and practically.

Papua - 18th September 2010

Wow! On each day of this outreach the Lord seemed to greatly increase the impact of the Holy Spirit. During the seminar on Friday morning, which was attended by at least 2000 people, Suzette again taught in a way that the whole congregation could understand and follow. Mr Sughi, Suzette’s Translator, had to use a local dialect, so that the 120 Pastors from the villages, some from very isolated areas, could all understand. Some had not left their villages for more than 50 years.

We left early for the evening meeting in the stadium. The whole team walked around the stadium, greeting the people. About 20,000 people had come. At 8pm Suzette took the microphone. First she called for all those who had been healed during and after the meeting on Thursday. The most amazing miracles had happened. One man, who had been blind, could now see clearly. Suzette called five people to the stage to give testimony about what had happened to them. At the end of the meeting Suzette called the people out from their seats to celebrate in dance and to sing “Tuhan” (Lord Jesus).

The committee decided to extend the outreach by one day. They felt that these meetings were extremely important for the people of Papua and the spiritual situation. This meant that we were in the stadium for four nights.

The final seminar and the anointing meeting were on Saturday morning. Suzette and the team prayed for about 2,500 people individually. These anointing meetings had a huge impact and were of great importance for the people.

The final meeting was in the evening. The Holy Spirit took control of the meeting, and the Lord first touched and healed the sick people. Suzette flowed in very detailed words of knowledge. The Holy Spirit impacted the people powerfully. The message was transmitted live by TV and radio all over Papua.

Finally, thousands of people ran to the stage; Suzette came down and danced with them on the football field.

On Sunday we had a closing meeting with the committee, and we heard the most amazing testimonies. People had been healed in front of their radios and TVs, and words of knowledge had been confirmed.

Papua has settled deep in our hearts. The committee is already making plans to invite Suzette and Voice in the City back in 2011.

Papua - 16th September 2010

Thursday 16th September

On this day we left early for the seminar in the Sports Hall. The Governor was due to speak before Suzette. He spoke about the Development Programme he has launched to reach especially the people in the 3.600 villages of Papua. Then about 60 pastors, who had been brought in from very isolated areas, sang a song in their tribal language, praising Jesus. This was truly very moving.

About 2.000 participants followed Suzette’s preaching on how to destroy strongholds in their lives, which was very down to earth . She did it in a way that the pastors from the remote areas could easily follow. Their eyes were sparkling as they listened to the teaching.

At 6pm the police escort took us to the Stadium. People were still coming in, and up to 8.000 attended the outreach that night. Suzette called up the people who had been healed the night before. Among them was an elderly man whose left side had been paralyzed after a stroke. Now he was joyfully jumping up and down on the stage. Suzette felt an urge to give a clear, evangelistic message. She poured all she had into that evening. The presence and holiness of the Lord was tangible. Many people were led into deep repentance and gave their lives to Jesus.

Then the Lord started to heal people. Many people, some of whom were very sick, came to the front of the stage to testify to their healing from asthma, lameness following a stroke, pain, tumours and much more.

God is so faithful! Thank you so much for all your prayers; it is wonderful to experience God’s power in such a special way. But, He is the same in Papua as He is in Germany, England or wherever you are. We serve a mighty God. Thank you for all your support.

Papua - 12th–18th September 2010

Report from Papua

On Saturday 11th we arrived here at the "ends of the earth",as the people call it. We had a night flight from Makassar, on the Island of Sulawesi, to Jayapura, the capital city of Papua.

As we were landing we could see that this country is still largely undeveloped. Many cities and places can not be reached by road, but only by air. Suzette last ministered in Papua 13 years ago.

For several years now she has had a strong desire to return to Papua, and is very happy that it has been possible to come back. This big island, with its 3.5 million inhabitants, used to be predominantly Christian, but now that situation is changing rapidly.

Having landed at the airport at 6 am, the committee welcomed us, and then a police escort took us to the hotel situated on the harbour. On Monday evening we were invited to the Governor’s residence for a meeting and also for dinner. The Governor and his wife are wonderful Christians, and welcomed us warmly. They feel that they have a strong connection with Suzette and Voice in the City, and have invited her to come back to Papua and to minister in other cities too. So, the spiritual gates are open, and Suzette’s heart is very much to come back and minister to the local people.

At the dinner about 100 pastors and leaders joined us for fellowship. Pastors were brought in from remote areas by plane, boat or motorcycle. Suzette was able to pray for the Governor, his family and the guests.

On Tuesday evening we had a prayer concert at which Suzette preached about the fire of God, and ministered to the pastors, the committee and all the co-workers involved. They expected a minimum of 45 denominations to be part of the outreach.

The conference finally started on Wednesday. The morning seminars took place in the Sports Hall. The sound system, as so often in Indonesia, was extremely loud, but the Holy Spirit is faithful, and the hearts of the 1500 participants were touched.

On Wednesday evening we had the opening meeting in the Stadium of Jayapura, who are currently the Indonesian Football champions. It has been newly renovated. Thousands came to this opening meeting in order to experience God’s power.

The meetings were broadcast live on TV and Radio. The meeting began with very lively worship containing local elements. The Governor delivered his speech, and declared that the 3 days of outreach had started.

Suzette preached about healing, and challenged people to make a decision for Jesus. It was impossible to count, but hundreds of people responded to this call. Then Suzette and the team prayed for the sick, ministering individually to the very sick ones who were waiting in a zone reserved just for them.

Some gave testimony to their healing right away; from others we expected to hear the following day. Hallelujah, we praise the Lord for that joyful day, and we pray that during the outreach Jayapura experienced the transforming power of God.

We are so grateful for all your prayer support, which is so vital to our doing what God has called us to do, including here at the "ends of the earth".

Prayer School Over - Makassar 2nd–4th September 2010

The Prayer school in Makassar is over. This was a strong battle in the spirit realm but He who has won the battle two thousand years ago was also victorious in Makassar. It still needed someone like Suzette to call the Elders of the Gate together for a meeting on Friday at 5.30pm before the evening session could start in the hall at 6.30pm.

Suzette had the clear impression that the elders of Makassar had not opened the “spiritual Gates” and so a real breakthrough was blocked. About fifty people - Pastors, members of the Committee, Intercessors and VitC Team - came together and Suzette gave a specific teaching on the importance of the agreement among the leaders and the opening of the gates. An intense time of reconciliation, repentance and prayer prepared the way for the breakthrough in the Friday and Saturday meetings.

The participants of the Prayer School learnt how to pray the word of God and received a fresh passion to pray for their land, city and families to be changed for the glory of God.

To close this wonderful Prayer School nine Pastors distributed the Lords Supper among all the participants.

The committee asked Suzette and Voice in the City to come back as soon as possible out of the Ramadan to do an Open Air Crusade.

We are so thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness. Again and again it is only because He gives us grace, favour and as He guides us that the Gospel has been preached in this city to the lost and the “body of Christ “ edified and taught.

Suzette’s voice had to work at it's hardest and needs some rest. We are now preparing to travel to Papua where Voice in the City will do an outreach in a stadium and seminars from the 14th to the 18th of September.

Please keep us in your prayers; these outreaches are only possible because you back us up in the spiritual realm.

God bless you.

Prayer School - Makassar 2nd–4th September 2010

On Wednesday morning we left for the Prayer School in Makassar which is a town on the island of Sulawesi, about 2 hours flight from Jakarta. It is considered as the Gateway to the eastern part of Indonesia and has about 1.6 million inhabitants. Suzette held an outreach here 5 years ago.

On Wednesday evening we were in a local church praying with the committee and the local workforce (intercessors, ushers etc) for the upcoming Prayer School. Suzette received a message from the Lord that morning during the flight to call for humility and to commit themselves unto the Lord for the task ahead.

On Thursday morning the Prayer School started with an opening from a governmental official and the prayer of 5 local leading Pastors. Hundreds of people were looking forward to listening to the word of God. The outside temperature was about 34 degrees and the hall had no air conditioning so the windows were open with the sound system blasting at full capacity.

Suzette preached during the first session on the Biblical foundations of prayer and intercession and the night meeting was powerful as people learned how to pull down strongholds in their lives.

At the end Suzette led the thousand strong congregation into prayer for Indonesia. It is wonderful to see and experience how the Spirit of the Lord helps the participants to enter a new spiritual dimension.

On Friday morning the rain cooled down the temperatures which we were all thankful for although it affected the attendance. As it was a Friday and a very important day for the Muslim faith we were asked to close our sessions at 11am. It was clear during the teaching that living a lifestyle of intercession and learning about burdens was new to these people however they followed powerfully as Suzette led them in praying the Word over the map of the Nation.

We thank your prayers; you are shareholders in what the Lord is doing in this Land.

Purwokerto - 24th August 2010

Tuesday evening – the church is packed. The committee had to put out extra chairs for people that followed the meeting outside on screens. We had to be finished by 9.30pm because the permission says that the PA system has to be turned off. Suzette preached full of fire and passion to reach the people where they’re at. The presence of the Lord seemed to be tangible. So many people responded to the call of God.

The meeting was finished at 9.30pm sharp. Suzette and the team were escorted to an extra room, where about 50 very sick men and women, were waiting for prayer. Suzette laid hands on them and prayed for divine healing. One man jumped up as the Lord touched and healed him, from the effects of a stroke

Wednesday Morning the Holy Spirit led Daniel Panji of the National Prayer Network, who was preaching the first session, to call the leaders of the City to reconciliation and unity. The Altar of Prayer and Praise had to be restored. Suzette carried on sharing that the Lord has shown her, that Purwokerto will play an important role in reaching Indonesia with the Gospel, and serving as a raw model. She requested the churches for a 40 days fasting time.

At the evangelistic outreach in the Evening, Suzette flowed in words of Knowledge right from the beginning. The worship was wonderful, the presence of the Lord was clearly there. Suzettes preaching challenged the people to live a life according to Gods purposes and not according to their own ideas.

Thank you Lord for impacting this City. Thank you Lord for a fresh unity among leaders and churches. Thank you for restoring vision and passion among your people.

At the Anointing Meeting Wednesday morning, Suzette prayed for hundreds of people. Four Days like that demand a lot, but seeing how the Lord touches the life’s of people it makes it all worth it.

Thank you for standing with Voice in the City and praying for us.

Prisons - 23rd August 2010

Yesterday we had the most amazing meeting on a Prison Island. There are seven different prisons. We visited some for the political and the most dangerous criminals. To go there we had to pass the place where the executions take place.

It was the first time that out of these seven Prisons on the island, the Christians had the possibility to come together for a church meeting. How many finally attended is difficult to say. 150 were in the building; others could follow the meeting on screens outside; others listened because they were just close by.

Praise God we had a wonderful worship group from the local church. Teun Stortenbeker from De Hoop spoke for a few minutes, than Suzette took over. She shared testimonies and preached about the court case in heaven, explaining that everybody has the responsibility to make a decision for his own life. We had a truly mixed audience, born again brothers and sisters and even people from death row. We had the privilege to talk and to pray with several people from death row.

To give you understanding of the penalties imposed, we heard yesterday of one man  caught with four grams of marijuana who got a four year prison sentence, while another with 20kgs of cocaine was awaiting his execution.

Finally 90% of the inmates stood up for a first or recommitment of their lives to Jesus. The local authorities received us wonderfully and warmly and were present in the meeting. Our Jakarta Team, Voice in the City and the local committee formed a wonderful team, which worked excellently together. We were not allowed to take photos in the prison due to security, but we were there for the Gospel and not for the photos.

As we were going back to Purwokerto we heard that the rest of the meetings there were i in danger of being cancelled due to internal difficulties. Finally the decision was made by the locals that they wanted to continue with the meetings, which we highly respect and honour. This morning the first Seminar was attended by about 350 people in the local Presbyterian church where the outreach will be held.

Thank you for all your prayers.

Jakarta Orphanage - 18th-19th August 2010

Off we go to the “Voice in the City” Orphanage: Suzette, Susanne and Stefan are looking forward to spend time with the children and to stay for one night. It’s a great “Hallo” when we arrive. The children who are not at school greet Suzette and call her “Oma Suzette”. They are not shy as they know Suzette from the last visit. We always have lunch together and afterwards it is play and fun time. Suzette spends quite some time with the very little ones in the baby room.

Some of the school children go to the International School as they had such good marks in the normal school.

It is wonderful how these children have a good home and live in a big family. John and Olga as “parents” and the staff take very good care of them.

Susanne and Stefan played cards with the kids after they had done their homework while 11 of the smaller ones were jumping up and down on Suzette’s bed playing with everything they could find in her bags.

Thank you Jesus and thank you for all your prayer and financial support

Lampung; Looking back on three awesome days - 11th-14th August 2010

Looking back on three awesome days of Outreach in Lampung we are so thankful for what the Lord has done. Two days of wonderful morning Seminars impacting about 1000 people per day who are hungry for good teaching.

In the evenings about 6000 people pack the multi-purpose hall. The many different churches being Part of the outreach have prepared a wonderful “prophetic dance” which they perform at the evening meetings. Suzettes preaching’s touch and move the people deeply.

The Holy Spirit moved the hearts of the people and lives were being transformed.

Already at the first Evening meeting, about 60 people were healed from pains and sicknesses. Some people were touched by God in their bodies on the first night but could only confirm their healing the second night.

Friday morning at the anointing meeting Suzette laid hands on everyone and anointed the people with oil. Although the meeting took about 5 hours, people waited for their turn to receive from God.

With joy the committee reported at our farewell meal that they sensed how the atmosphere in the city has changed. Suzette’s openness and honesty in preaching seemed to be something that deeply confronted them and became a role model they want to follow.

Thank you Jesus for you are so faithful reaching the people in need.

Lampung - 8th to 10th August 2010

On Sunday 8th August all seven of us in the team flew out from Jakarta to Lampung on the island which is only about 30 minutes flying time away. The organizing Committee received and greeted the team warmly and we had a wonderful welcome dinner.

Here for the first time Voice in the City and the National Prayer Network (JDN) under Daniel Banji will do 5 days of combined meetings to impact the city and the region.

The Monday and Tuesday meetings were organized by JDN with Suzette ministering in the evenings. Intercessors and leaders are joining together for “CITRA” Training. CITRA means City Impact Training and the focus here is on prayer and intercession.

On Monday night, Suzette motivated hundreds of participants from all over the region, on being moved for a lost world as Jesus was (Matt. 9, 35-38; Isaiah 59).

She showed us that prayer brings in the harvest. However, bringing it in is also a spiritual fight, but God who has already won the victory. The people responded wonderfully, their hearts were open and touched. Many knelt down to let the Holy Spirit deal with them.

It is a true joy to be among these wonderful people here in Indonesia. They do their best to serve and to help. Suzette is highly appreciated and respected among all the land.

It is a very busy and moving country, where Christians represent only a small minority of the 230 Million people. But we sense with every nerve, that this country is very much on Gods agenda.

Childrens Home in Solo - 5th-6th August 2010

A cry for help had reached Suzette from our Organiser in Indonesia, while we were on tour in Holland. He had been informed of a Christian orphanage where mismanagement had taken place.

This orphanage used to be a home to about 160 children but now only about 30 still live there.

For Suzette it was no question to do all she could do to help these children and to save the orphanage. Still on tour she raised money to support this desperate need and contacted the founder and ministered to her over the phone.

We spent two days praying at the orphanage and ministering to the children that were still present. We were a team of 5 that flew in from Jakarta, with some of the local church leaders joining us.

The first day was a day of strong intercession in and around the building. Opening the wells of prayer that seemed to have been neglected and closed down, was one of the things that Suzette strongly concentrated on.

We felt that the spiritual climate had completely changed after we had taken authority over several aspects of concern.

After two days of talking to the children, praying for them, singing with them and eating with them it was so wonderful to see how these children have found new hope and some joy. They had felt abandoned and abused but now in their eyes and smiles is new life and new hope to be found. Suzette promised to return there again and she will for sure.

Please pray with us that that a God-fearing leadership will be established and for the strength of God for those who are taking care of this desperate need.
