I want to share a topic that maybe you sit in the midst of and you think how can I really seek God in it? I've called it "Be Anxious for Nothing" and you might sit there and think, "Yeah right, you just don't know my situation." No I don't but let me encourage you that I know a God who does know your situation. His Word in 1 Peter says to us, "Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you." For us to get a hold of that we need to realise who God is in our lives. For us to really grasp that God is interested in the smallest details of our lives we have to realise that Jesus is in the midst of every storm with you and me.

It's interesting as we read through the Bible where the disciples were in difficult situations and even in the storm where they were getting wet and they were getting thrown around by the waves and life was a terror for them at that moment. It wasn't plain sailing, it wasn't a nice calm sea, they were fearing for their lives! You might sit there with all your bills, all your difficulties, all your marriage problems and all the different things that seem to be strangling you and I say, "Be anxious for nothing" and you think, "How can that be?" I want to encourage you today that even in the midst of the storm Jesus is in the boat with you. He's never left you, He's never forsaken you, what He has said is, "Cast all your cares upon me for I care for you." You see we don't need to strive in this life by ourselves, we need to reach out to the Master who is there with us ready to take control of the situation as we give the reins over to Him.

Let's pray together; "Father I want to thank You that Jesus is with me at all times. He is closer than a brother and He is ready to intervene in this situation and so Lord I come to You and as Your Word says I cast all my cares upon You because I know that You care for me. Help me to walk through these situations in the power and in the love of Your Holy Spirit for the glory of Your Name and I bless you Father, in Jesus name.
