Have you like me been in a situation where you really haven't felt like doing something that you know you should? For example, let's be really honest, how many times do we wake up in the morning and getting up to pray and getting up to praise is the furthest thing from our minds and we think to ourselves, "I really should do it even though I don't feel like doing it".
The Psalmist David talks about it so wonderfully in Psalms, he says, "and His praise shall be continually on my lips". You might think, "Well that was David, he was able to do that but David many times had to walk through the difficulties that he had but knowing that God's praise was continually upon his lips which brought him the strength and the determination and the zeal to see him going through many things.
It's the same for you and I in this day and age. There's so many things that pull us away, so many things that occupy our minds and our thought lives; children needing to go to school and different things that are happening and yet we tend to forget that the most important thing in the morning is to get up and to allow that praise to be continually upon our lips. For that sets the pattern and determines the focus of our day.
I want to encourage and challenge you, make that if you like a habit, to get up and to begin to praise and to begin to worship and to begin to pray. If you're like me and you really can't sing you need the help of some music then why don't you put on your ipod or your stereo and let the praise and worship of others bring you into the presence of God, even when you don't feel like it.
It will bless you and it will change you and it will direct the course of your life and the life of your family in that day. So make that your goal tomorrow to wake up and even when you don't feel like doing it let's get up and praise God together.
I bless you today, have a wonderful fantastic day in Him. Bless you in Jesus name.
