Prayer Is Work

I want to share with you just for the two minutes that we have together on the subject of prayer. It's amazing how prayer is the most talked about topic in the body of Christ yet sadly one of the least practiced on an individual basis.

I want to say to you today that prayer is hard work but prayer works. Maybe if it wasn't such hard work we would do it more often but I want to encourage you through the Word of God. If you open your Bibles at Colossions 4:12, " ".

I'm amazed at how little prayer actually plays a role in our lives. We have different types of prayer, many of us operate in what I call the SOS help prayer. What do I mean by that? When a situation becomes difficult or we feel that our backs against the wall we cry our to God, "God help us". There's nothing wrong with that type of prayer.

Then we have the prayer of the burden where God puts something on our hearts and we begin to pray and we begin to intercede and even go into travail for that situation.

There's the other type of prayer where it's something that is churning within our spirits and prayer flows so easily because of our relationship with God but child of God, everything about our Christian walk is based on prayer. The depth and the height that we will go will determine and be determined by the depth and the height that we go to God in prayer.

Prayer is an individual thing, it's a powerful thing, it works and so I encourage you, set a target that is realistic for you, maybe just two minutes a day to seek the face of God and you will see how your life will change and your prayer life will expand.

May God bless you as you seek His face.
