Victim or Victor

We can either be a victim or we can be a victor. It's amazing how many of us walk in a victim mentality; oh that happened to me and this has happened to me and yes your situations are very real but you know my Bible tells me in that Romans that God has made us conquerors, that we can overcome the situations. Not through our own power, not through our own determination, not even through changing the circumstances but through one person and one person alone; through Jesus Christ.

I want to challenge you and encourage you, wherever you are; Jesus has made you a victor over your situations. If you look in the newspapers that are being sold around the world you'll see that people are looking for a bad story because bad news sells. It's amazing how they try to find bad things that happen to good people and you might consider yourself a good person today and you think something bad has really happened. I want to encourage you that even in that situation, though it be way beyond your control, Jesus is still in the midst of all of that and He can make you a victor. The enemy would rather have us be a victim, he would rather have us living underneath the circumstances, underneath the pressures and underneath the difficulties and the stress of that. I want to encourage you this day to rise above that for Christ through the blood of Jesus has made you a victor in everything that He has got in your life for you. Yes as I said it may be well beyond your control but if we would only realise that Jesus is with us through everything. Whatever your situation I'm going to pray with you right now because I know Jesus can make you a victor.

Lord, we come to You with our situations and we ask You to help us to lift our eyes to the hills for there comes our help. To realise that we are not a victim of that which is happening in our lives but we are a victor because we live in Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your goodness and Your grace to us today in the wonderful name of Jesus.
