Did you realise that every prayer you pray is actually a seed in the harvest fields of God? Your prayer can make a difference and bring you rewards you would never have even dreamt of. That's why God invites us so wonderfuly in his Word in Psalm 2:8, "Ask of me and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth as thy posession". Now how would that be possible for anybody who isn't travelling; you do it through prayer. That's how you reach the uttermost parts of the earth as thy posession.

You know, may I say it like this; sometimes our prayer life so evolves around us, may I put it in a very natural term? Could I call it almost like a bank account? You can't draw from a normal bank account what you haven't put in. Do I dare bring in prayer to our natural level, can I say it like that? Are you planting and are you sowing and are you banking prayer in your heavenly bank account so that you again can draw from it.

Sometimes I think we cause our own spiritual poverty you know, the Bible says, "Sow and you will reap". As you sow, you reap, also in prayer. The more you pray for others the more God can raise up others to pray for you. That's why the Word of God is so marvellous as it says, "Pressed down, shaken together and running over." You will receive prayer, what does your spiritual bank account look like? How much of your prayer life are you banking? Sowing it for the nations, for others, for the uttermost parts of the earth. Why don't you stop right now, ask the Holy Spirit to put something in your heart and let's pray.
