Reports
Hello from Adelaide

Dear team and friends,

Greetings from a rather cold Australia!

Looking out of my window I can only see grass, cows, trees and in the far distance some houses. Peter and Kerri, our representatives here in Australia have found this place for us to rest during the week we should have been in Toowoomba. Its a little cottage in the middle of the country where there aren’t any shops closer than 5km from us. We have no car and my wheelchair would never do it :) So we are resting and that in itself does us good, especially as Heike has no place to go shopping! :) Bless her, when she reads this she will only laugh - but I do believe the rest does us both the world of good.

I must admit I am not crying that Toowoomba was cancelled so close to the tour that nothing else could be booked in its place. God knew I would not have been able to continue with those meetings as well as the prayer conference next week. At the end of Sydney I also came to the end of my strength and was rather thankful for these days of rest.

This nation had a drought so we prayed for rain and the Lord answered – it seems never to stop raining now! This is really the strangest weather you have seen, one moment the sun shines and the next moment it is pouring down with rain and that happens several times a day! Not just a drizzle like in the UK, no brother this is rain; like heaven opens and all the clouds pour down in one go!

This is a nice little place and very quiet, so quiet I can hear Heike think…… just joking! This does however slow the pace down for us both and certainly does us both good. Until now sleep was rather sparse as the meetings were late and we were early up for whatever was next to be done.

The meetings went well but Sydney surely had its challenges. The weather was something else and I preached on the truck in 10-12 degrees Celsius. About 1,000 people gathered in the tent but those were the ones who braved the weather. However, the people loved the preaching and what God was doing so they rapped up in their blankets and still came to the meetings. In the 3 nights that I was able to peach 90 people gave their lives to Jesus and many got healed. There was also a powerful move of the Lord upon the Christians that were there too and Saturday night was one of those amazing meetings where you do not find words to describe what was happening in Spirit realm. God moved upon the people and it was as if the holiness of God descended on that meeting. Like the chairman said, “these meetings were for the lost and church alike”.

Blacktown was originally called “Blacks town” because that was where the aboriginal people were driven to when they were driven out of Sydney during the “apartheid“ time in this nation. The people are wonderful and some of the main leaders of the different aboriginal tribes asked me if I would be willing to go the “out back” where these people are and have crusades there. One man with the name of Peter Walker, a very blessed and deep aboriginal man of God asked me to join him and I will certainly do so.

Health wise I kept up well however the trip by plane to Adelaide was not the best and my leg swelled up and was very painful. Now we were at a place where I can rest and that I am doing. Wow! It is now bucketing down again. If you could hear the sound on the roof right now where I am sitting typing you would hear with what force the rain can fall with here in this place.

As I have written to you already – the meetings in Orange were very powerful and next week we are at the intercession conference.

Know that you are never far from my thoughts and prayers and I miss you all. Nevertheless, we saw floods of salvations and healings that makes it all the more worth a while, except that it is so cold that I think I am having “Eskimo evangelism” but the hearts of the people are warm and kind. Australia loved us and our ministry and we fell in love with them. Below are some reports from the leaders:

Pastor Tim White, Chairman for the Organising Committee in Orange wrote: “Three incredible nights! Hundreds of salvations, and many refreshed by the love of God. Sixteen, documented healings with knees, backs, mental illnesses, eyes, and shingles healed (confirmed), lung cancer also healed (to be confirmed by doctor). We believe these meetings were the best we have ever had in Orange, which was supported by twelve local Orange churches and others from surrounding country towns. With 24/7 prayer in Orange, we look forward to Suzette Hattingh coming back to continue in partnership with God's army in prayer and evangelism for the end-time harvest.”

Pastor Glen Reid, Senior Minister Harvest for Christ Apostolic Church, Orange wrote: "Personally, I want to comment that with Suzette Hattingh coming to Orange we got more than what we expected. The way Suzette ministered really challenged the people and she connected to the people of Orange, reaching them where they were at. The event brought a greater unity amongst the churches in Orange causing us to believe for greater things ahead. Suzette's coming to Orange paved the way for more events with international ministries coming to the “Bush."

Pastor John Gear, Chairman of the committee in Blacktown wrote: “A team of volunteers planned the “Jesus; All About Life” Celebration. The expectation was very high to what God would do and Suzette Hattingh came as our principle speaker. Even though the weather was not favourable the meetings were well attended from 400 the first night to over 1,000 the last night. Families were impacted; one family came night after night and saw both their teenage daughters commit their lives to Jesus for the first time. Another family said, “Having lived in Blacktown for 15 years this was the most productive event we have ever seen for believers and unbelievers alike”. 90 decisions for Christ took place and many healings some reports are still coming in. To sum up the 5 days, it was far beyond our expectation and we thank the Lord for His favour upon us by sending Suzette to our City.

Love Suzette

Hello from Sydney

Dear team and friends,

Greetings from a cool and windy Sydney!

The meetings in Orange are behind us and God truly confirmed His word with signs and wonders and a river of souls into the Kingdom of God.

On Sunday morning, we had a “combined Korean meeting” with the Korean churches of Sydney and Orange together. It has been a long time since I have seen young people so deeply touched by God as in that meeting.

Today is Thursday and our first meeting in Sydney is behind us. As you know we had the most bizarre weather conditions here with rain, hail and even snowstorms. Not only was Sydney covered with dust, it now has torrential rain. We are in an open field and this has completely exposed us to the elements. This morning I started commanding the clouds to move on, more than just prayer but strong intercession as well as speaking to the clouds. This morning when I woke up it was completely covered with clouds but now we have some blue sky and we pray that it remains that way. It is quite cold and I had to buy some winter clothes in order to keep warm. However, I am determined to use all things for the good so last night we crammed 350 people into a small tent and called it “close fellowship.” No need to preach salvation there as it was mainly the workers and church people that were there, so we turned the meeting around and I preached about the “Glory of the Lord and Fire.” God met powerfully with the people and it seemed that God first had to get the “Church” on fire before He could save the lost. These meetings are indeed historical as never before in the history of Blacktown have they ever had such combined meetings at all.

Blacktown is the place where the first persecutions of the Aboriginal people took place. Great hurt, murder and rejection took place here, now we are reaching into this community with salvation, healing and unity. Last night when I looked over the crowd, it could just as well have been in Indonesia or Africa. The place was packed with Filipino’s, Koreans, Africans, Aboriginal people with some European faces scattered in-between. They sure have temperament and that I really like as you know.

Although the rain filtered through the seams of the tent and fell on the people, nobody seemed to notice it. They wept, screamed, sung and praised the Lord. The sound was poor, the cable of the microphone got tangled into the wheels of my wheelchair, the lighting was dull but nobody minded; God was on the move!

I had an African American lady help me with the worship which was really great; you know how much I like “black American gospel music.” She had a great big voice and was not only beautiful but a true blessing. Today I was supposed to meet with the prisoners who built the truck that has been converted into a stage but that was cancelled by the prison warden; no problem, I am thankful for the rest.

On Saturday we have a leaders’ meeting in the very tent where we were last night and I look forward to this as I believe out of these meetings will flow something fresh and new. These people are not just interested in us being “guest speakers” this time, they are looking for partnership and I find that indeed wonderful.

Heike is doing an excellent job with the intercession. I can leave it to her as she really gets things organised and does really well with it. For her it is as much a learning curve as she has to deal with all these different cultures in the intercession but God said in Revelations “every tongue and tribe“ and that is really so. There is nothing like having to stretch beyond your own culture and limitations than when you deal with people from a different nation and culture.

Thank you for praying for us, we will keep you updated.

Blessings,

Suzette

Weather Report

The sun is shining here and we have open sky! It is cool and the wind blowing but in Jesus Name that too will stop!

Have to go! Thanks for praying!

Urgent Prayer Request

As you have been so faithfully praying for Suzette and Heike as they are ministering in Australia, I wanted on behalf of Suzette to give you a short report of how the meetings are going and at the same time pass on to you an URGENT prayer request for the upcoming meetings in Sydney.

The meetings in the City of Orange were excellent; Suzette said that the people were very hungry for the word and the presence of God. It is a place that is not often visited by outside speakers due to its location but having said that the Holy Spirit knew exactly where to go! There were many salvations each night as Suzette preached and many wonderful healings followed.

They have now moved on to Sydney and as you many have seen on the news, this city has been experiencing amazing and unusual weather conditions with the sand and dust storms and now today it has started to hail with winds and very heavy rain. The weather forecast suggests that this will continue until Friday. This is the time that we have planned for our outreach and the venue is a completely open field with no shelter for the people.

Please can you pray with us that there is a dramatic change in the weather so that the meetings can proceed and souls be saved?

Suzette is doing well although quite drained but is continuing to work on the muscles in her leg daily and preparing herself for the meetings. Please pray that as she waits upon the Lord she will mount up with wings like eagles and that her strength will be renewed.

Hello from Orange

Dear team and friends,

Greetings from Orange!

Its 23:45 at night and I just wanted to let you know how it went today.

Orange is very open for the gospel. This morning we had a pastors’ meeting with about 50 leaders in attendance. God lead me to speak on “The Fire of God” and needless to say the Lord moved in the hearts of the people. I would say between 40 and 50 people responded with both men and women just weeping on the floor before the Lord.

Tonight we started the crusade. The hall can seat about 1,000 and there must have been at least 500+ people attending (this is the largest hall they have here and not bad for the first night). These people could not believe that a person like me would come to their town. True, it is quite far out but certainly a lovely place to preach. It just seemed that the churches was going to run with our meetings and what’s most wonderful is that so many small churches suddenly came together and put these meetings on.

We had a mighty harvest of souls tonight and it was as if people just kept streaming forward. Then we moved to the miraculous and God healed! They had the decision cards ready and the counsellors were really well trained; they are obviously very hungry for the miraculous. We waited for the counsellors to finish and then moved to the healings; people stayed and just waited and watched. They were not in a hurry and were ready to add their faith to mine as we prayed for the sick. The team travelling with me really functions well and it was lovely to see how they stepped out in faith. Heike did the parallel prayer and did very well like always. Tomorrow we have morning seminars and then night meetings again.

Joe Schneider is also part of the team and I thank the Lord for the time he took to be with us and to help me with the meetings I could not take due to my strength and health situation. I ministered with him in Manipur and hope to do so again in 2011. Talking about strength, I am doing really well and can stand now for quite long periods while I am preaching! When I move about I am still doing it in the wheel chair but imagine, I am once again preaching while standing for long periods; praise the Lord! I am also very faithful with my physiotherapy and I’m really doing my best to build up the muscle.

OK it is time for me to close my eyes and try to sleep it is already midnight :)

God bless you and thank you for praying.

Blessings,

Suzette
