We had left the early summer in Germany to dip into the fading winter of Finland. The plants hadn’t blossomed yet and the lakes were still covered with a thin layer of ice.

After our arrival in Helsinki we travelled for about four hours by car north east to Pori where our City Taking is scheduled for August. We were welcomed warmly by the pastors and leaders of the host church and along with the seminars and services that were held by Suzette and Gayle, many organisational things had to be talked through and put in line. Suzette also had a radio interview which will be aired soon.

About 100 brothers and sisters have already been praying for their city for two minutes a day and at our prayer seminar 100 more wanted to join this special prayer. By now 200 brothers and sisters in Pori storm the throne of God on behalf of their city every single day!

In one of Gayle's seminars we were praying specifically for Pori and the Holy Spirit was revealing to us all sorts of addictions such as gambling, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, pornography, media and many more. The church leadership confirmed that these are indeed many of the key problems of Pori. On Saturday evening Suzette wonderfully led the church into prayer and hundreds of people prayed the Word of God over their city. On Sunday morning Suzette emphasised strongly that we as children of God are on a double mission as kings and priests.

We are thankful for the good preparation work which started right from the beginning and we are happy to find the leadership and the church with a deep longing to reach their city with the Gospel. The Holy Spirit is hovering over this city and we are really looking forward to August and are excited about the things the Lord is going to do through His kings and priests in Pori.

In preparation for the scheduled City Taking in August, a prayer seminar was held in Pori, Finland from 24th- 26th April. Prayer is an important element in every outreach preparation and Suzette always says, “The level you pray is the level you reach out.” For months already about 100 people have been praying at least two minutes on a daily basis for Pori and after this weekend approximately 100 more prayer partners have joined this corporate prayer.

On Saturday evening Suzette taught how we can pray strategically and effectively for our city - a message that spoke to me the most and after Suzette’s teaching we prayed the Word of God over Pori. We pray and believe that we will reach many people with the Gospel in Pori in coming August.
