Anointed To Serve

Have you ever wondered what you're anointed for? Some people sit there and think, "I have an anointing, I have a dream, I have a vision but what is it all for?" I once heard somebody say, "Am I anointed for beans?" I thought, "What a crazy statement is that?" but his whole life was just revolved around 'when is God going to open up the anointing'. We can begin to compare ourselves to different ministries, to evangelists, to men and women who are in the limelight doing things and we think what God has given has given us is so insignificant.

Today I want to challenge you and let you know that that which God has given you is significant in His eyes. He has given you a measure of His Holy Spirit, a measure of His anointing, a measure of His grace and His love for you to fulfil the task which He has given you to do. We make a huge mistake by comparing ourselves to one another. When you are I reach heaven, God is not going to say, "Well done my good and faithful servant, you were just like brother so and so." No, He's going to ask you and say to you, "What have you done with that which I placed in your life."

You might be a housewife, you might be an engineer, you might be a motor mechanic but you have the anointing; the same anointing as any man of woman who stands on a pulpit ministering the Word of God because God has you in that situation, He needs you right there. I know many housewives who preach a powerful sermon just by what they do. Far more powerful than what maybe I could do standing up on a Sunday preaching from a pulpit.

You see it's our lives that make a difference. It's our lives walking in the fulfilment and the freedom and the power of the Holy Spirit that touches the lives of one another. So don't compare yourself, live in today, you are anointed for where God has you right now. Walk in that anointing and see it's fruits; you are blessed in Jesus' name.
