Viele GrĂĽĂźe aus dem vielmehr kalten Australien!
Wenn ich aus dem Fenster schaue, sehe ich nur Gras, Kühe, Bäume und in weiter Entfernung ein paar Häuser. Peter und Kerri, unsere Voice in the City-Repräsentanten hier in Australien, haben diesen Ort für uns gefunden, damit wir uns in der Woche, in der wir eigentlich in Toowoomba gewesen wären, erholen können. Es ist ein kleines Häuschen mitten auf dem Land, wo es keine Geschäfte in weniger als 5 km Entfernung von uns gibt. Wir haben kein Auto und mit meinem Rollstuhl würde ich es niemals schaffen. Also ruhen wir uns aus und es tut uns gut, besonders Heike, da sie nirgendwo einkaufen gehen kann! Wenn sie das hier liest, wird sie einfach nur lachen, aber ich glaube, die Erholung ist für uns beide sehr, sehr wohltuend.
Ich muss zugeben, dass ich nicht traurig bin, dass Toowoomba so kurzfristig vor unserer Tour abgesagt wurde und dass für diesen Zeitraum keine anderen Einsätze organisert werden konnten. Gott wusste, dass ich nicht in der Lage gewesen wäre, noch mehr Veranstaltungen abzuhalten und gleichzeitig nächste Woche die Gebetskonferenz durchzuführen. Während der letzten Tage in Sydney kam ich zum Ende meiner Kräfte und bin daher dankbar für die Erholungstage.
Diese Nation hatte eine Dürreperiode, und so beteten wir für Regen und der Herr beantwortete unser Gebet – jetzt scheint es, als würde es gar nicht mehr aufhören zu regnen! Hier ist wirklich das komischeste Wetter, dass ich je erlebt habe. Erst scheint die Sonne und im nächsten Moment regnet es wie wild und das passiert mehrmals am Tag! Nicht nur ein Nieselregen wie in Großbritannien, nein, meine Lieben, das hier ist wirklich Regen; als ob der Himmel sich öffnen und alle Wolken sich auf einmal leeren würden.
Dies ist ein schöner, kleiner Ort und sehr ruhig. So ruhig, dass ich Heike denken hören kann … das ist natürlich nur ein Scherz! Aber die Ruhe verlangsamt das Tempo für uns zwei, und das tut uns beiden wirklich gut. Denn bis jetzt war der Schlaf eher knapp, da die Meetings bis spät abends gingen und wir früh morgens aufstanden, um zu tun, was als Nächstes dran war.
Die Veranstaltungen waren wirklich gut, aber Sydney hatte sicherlich auch seine Herausforderungen. Das Wetter war auch noch so eine Sache, und ich predigte von einem Lastwagen bei 10-12 Grad Außentemperatur. Etwa 1000 Leute waren im Zelt, und das waren diejenigen, die dem Wetter trotzten.Denn sie liebten die Predigten und was Gott in unserer Mitte tat, und so brachten sie ihre Decken mit und kamen trotz des Wetters zu den Meetings. An den drei Abenden, an denen ich in der Lage war zu predigen, gaben 90 Menschen ihr Leben Jesus und viele wurden geheilt. Auch die Gläubigen wurden sehr stark vom Herrn angerührt und am Samstagabend erlebten wir eines der erstaunlichsten Veranstaltungen, für das es keine Worte gibt, um zu beschreiben, was in der geistlichen Welt geschah. Gott berührte die Menschen und es war so, als ob die Heiligkeit Gottes auf diese Veranstaltung herabkommen würde. Wie der Versammlungsleiter sagte: „Diese Veranstaltungen war sowohl für die Verlorenen als auch für die Gemeinde.“
Blacktown wurde ursprünglich „Blacks Town“ (Stadt der Schwarzen) genannt, weil dorthin die Ureinwohner gebracht wurden, nachdem man sie während der Zeit der Apartheit in Australien aus Sydney verbannt hatte. Die Menschen sind wunderbar und einige Leiter der verschiedenen Volksstämme der Ureinwohner fragten mich, ob ich bereit wäre, ins „Outback“ zu gehen, wo diese Menschen leben, um dort evangelistische Einsätze durchzuführen. Peter Walker, ein sehr gesegneter, tief einheimischer Mann Gottes, bat mich, ihn zu begleiten und das werde ich sicherlich machen.
Gesundheitlich geht es mir gut, obwohl die Reise mit dem Flugzeug nach Adelaide nicht so einfach war und mein Bein anschwoll. Das war sehr schmerzhaft. Aber nun sind wir an einem Ort, an dem ich mich ausruhen kann und genau das mache ich jetzt. Wow! Im Moment gießt es wieder wie aus Kübeln. Wenn du die Geräusche auf dem Dach hier hören könntest, wo ich gerade sitze, dann würdest du hören, mit welcher Kraft der Regen hier an diesem Ort fällt.
Wie ich bereits geschrieben habe – die Veranstaltungen in Orange waren stark und nächste Woche sind wir auf einer Fürbittekonferenz.
Du sollst wissen, dass du nie fern von meinen Gedanken und Gebeten bist und ich vermisse euch alle. Aber wir sahen viele Bekehrungen und Heilungen und deshalb ist es alle Mühe wert – ganz besonders wenn es so kalt ist, dass ich das Gefühl habe, eine „Eskimo-Evangelisation“ zu machen. Aber die Herzen der Menschen sind warm und freundlich. Die Australier liebten uns und unseren Dienst und wir haben uns in sie verliebt. Im Folgenden findet ihr einige Berichte von Leitern:
Pastor Tim White, Vorsitzender des Organisationskomitees in Orange, schrieb: „Drei unglaubliche Abende! Hunderte von Bekehrungen und viele sind ganz neu erfrischt durch die Liebe Gottes. Sechzehn dokumentierte Heilungen: Kniee, Rücken, Geisteskrankheiten, Augen und Gürtelrose geheilt (bestätigt), ebenso Lungenkrebs (was noch vom Arzt zu bestätigen ist). Wir glauben, die Meetings waren die Besten, die wir je in Orange erlebt haben, was auch von den zwölf lokalen Gemeinden in Orange und anderen in der Nähe der Stadt so zum Ausdruck gebracht wurde. Mit dem 24/7-Gebet in Orange freuen wir uns darauf, dass Suzette Hattingh wieder kommt, um unsere Zusammenarbeit für die Endzeiternte in Gebet und Evangelisation mit der Armee Gottes fortzusetzen.“
Pastor Glen Reid, Seniorpastor der Gemeinde „Harvest for Christ Apostolic Church“ in Orange, schrieb: “Ich persönlich möchte bemerken, dass wir mit Suzette Hattinghs Einsatz in Orange mehr bekommen haben als wir erwarteten. Die Art,, wie Suzette diente, forderte die Zuhörer wirklich heraus. Sie verstand sich auf Anhieb mit ihnen und holte sie genau dort ab, wo sie gerade standen. Dieser Einsatz vertiefte die Einheit unter den Gemeinden in Orange und brachte uns dazu, für noch größere Dinge in der Zukunft Glauben zu haben. Suzettes Dienst in Orange machte den Weg frei für weitere gemeinsame Veranstaltungen mit internationalen Diensten, die zu uns in den „Busch“ kommen.
Pastor John Gear, Vorsitzender des Komitees in Blacktown, schrieb: „Ein Team von Freiwilligen plante die „Jesus – All about Life“-Feier. Die Erwartung, was Gott an diesen Tagen tun würde, war sehr hoch und Suzette Hattingh kam als unsere Hauptsprecherin. Obwohl das Wetter nicht vorteilhaft war, waren die Veranstaltungen gut besucht mit 400 Anwesenden am ersten Abend bis zu über 1000 am letzten Abend. Familien wurden verändert; eine Familie kam jeden Abend und sah, wie ihre beiden Töchter im Teenageralter zum ersten Mal ihr Leben Jesus gaben. Eine andere Familie sagte: „Wir wohnen seit 15 Jahren in Blacktown, aber dies hier war die beste Veranstaltung überhaupt sowohl für Christen als auch für Nichtchristen.“ 90 Entscheidungen für Christus wurden getroffen und es geschahen viele Heilungen, wovon einige Berichte über Heilungen jetzt erst eintreffen. Um die fünf Tage zusammenzufassen: Es war weit mehr, als wir erwartet haben und wir danken dem Herrn für Seine Gunst, dass Er Suzette in unsere Stadt gesandt hat.“

Greetings from a cool and windy Sydney!
The meetings in Orange are behind us and God truly confirmed His word with signs and wonders and a river of souls into the Kingdom of God.
On Sunday morning, we had a “combined Korean meeting” with the Korean churches of Sydney and Orange together. It has been a long time since I have seen young people so deeply touched by God as in that meeting.
Today is Thursday and our first meeting in Sydney is behind us. As you know we had the most bizarre weather conditions here with rain, hail and even snowstorms. Not only was Sydney covered with dust, it now has torrential rain. We are in an open field and this has completely exposed us to the elements. This morning I started commanding the clouds to move on, more than just prayer but strong intercession as well as speaking to the clouds. This morning when I woke up it was completely covered with clouds but now we have some blue sky and we pray that it remains that way. It is quite cold and I had to buy some winter clothes in order to keep warm. However, I am determined to use all things for the good so last night we crammed 350 people into a small tent and called it “close fellowship.” No need to preach salvation there as it was mainly the workers and church people that were there, so we turned the meeting around and I preached about the “Glory of the Lord and Fire.” God met powerfully with the people and it seemed that God first had to get the “Church” on fire before He could save the lost. These meetings are indeed historical as never before in the history of Blacktown have they ever had such combined meetings at all.
Blacktown is the place where the first persecutions of the Aboriginal people took place. Great hurt, murder and rejection took place here, now we are reaching into this community with salvation, healing and unity. Last night when I looked over the crowd, it could just as well have been in Indonesia or Africa. The place was packed with Filipino’s, Koreans, Africans, Aboriginal people with some European faces scattered in-between. They sure have temperament and that I really like as you know.
Although the rain filtered through the seams of the tent and fell on the people, nobody seemed to notice it. They wept, screamed, sung and praised the Lord. The sound was poor, the cable of the microphone got tangled into the wheels of my wheelchair, the lighting was dull but nobody minded; God was on the move!
I had an African American lady help me with the worship which was really great; you know how much I like “black American gospel music.” She had a great big voice and was not only beautiful but a true blessing. Today I was supposed to meet with the prisoners who built the truck that has been converted into a stage but that was cancelled by the prison warden; no problem, I am thankful for the rest.
On Saturday we have a leaders’ meeting in the very tent where we were last night and I look forward to this as I believe out of these meetings will flow something fresh and new. These people are not just interested in us being “guest speakers” this time, they are looking for partnership and I find that indeed wonderful.
Heike is doing an excellent job with the intercession. I can leave it to her as she really gets things organised and does really well with it. For her it is as much a learning curve as she has to deal with all these different cultures in the intercession but God said in Revelations “every tongue and tribe“ and that is really so. There is nothing like having to stretch beyond your own culture and limitations than when you deal with people from a different nation and culture.

As you have been so faithfully praying for Suzette and Heike as they are ministering in Australia, I wanted on behalf of Suzette to give you a short report of how the meetings are going and at the same time pass on to you an URGENT prayer request for the upcoming meetings in Sydney.
The meetings in the City of Orange were excellent; Suzette said that the people were very hungry for the word and the presence of God. It is a place that is not often visited by outside speakers due to its location but having said that the Holy Spirit knew exactly where to go! There were many salvations each night as Suzette preached and many wonderful healings followed.
They have now moved on to Sydney and as you many have seen on the news, this city has been experiencing amazing and unusual weather conditions with the sand and dust storms and now today it has started to hail with winds and very heavy rain. The weather forecast suggests that this will continue until Friday. This is the time that we have planned for our outreach and the venue is a completely open field with no shelter for the people.
Please can you pray with us that there is a dramatic change in the weather so that the meetings can proceed and souls be saved?
Suzette is doing well although quite drained but is continuing to work on the muscles in her leg daily and preparing herself for the meetings. Please pray that as she waits upon the Lord she will mount up with wings like eagles and that her strength will be renewed.

Greetings from Orange!
Its 23:45 at night and I just wanted to let you know how it went today.
Orange is very open for the gospel. This morning we had a pastors’ meeting with about 50 leaders in attendance. God lead me to speak on “The Fire of God” and needless to say the Lord moved in the hearts of the people. I would say between 40 and 50 people responded with both men and women just weeping on the floor before the Lord.
Tonight we started the crusade. The hall can seat about 1,000 and there must have been at least 500+ people attending (this is the largest hall they have here and not bad for the first night). These people could not believe that a person like me would come to their town. True, it is quite far out but certainly a lovely place to preach. It just seemed that the churches was going to run with our meetings and what’s most wonderful is that so many small churches suddenly came together and put these meetings on.
We had a mighty harvest of souls tonight and it was as if people just kept streaming forward. Then we moved to the miraculous and God healed! They had the decision cards ready and the counsellors were really well trained; they are obviously very hungry for the miraculous. We waited for the counsellors to finish and then moved to the healings; people stayed and just waited and watched. They were not in a hurry and were ready to add their faith to mine as we prayed for the sick. The team travelling with me really functions well and it was lovely to see how they stepped out in faith. Heike did the parallel prayer and did very well like always. Tomorrow we have morning seminars and then night meetings again.
Joe Schneider is also part of the team and I thank the Lord for the time he took to be with us and to help me with the meetings I could not take due to my strength and health situation. I ministered with him in Manipur and hope to do so again in 2011. Talking about strength, I am doing really well and can stand now for quite long periods while I am preaching! When I move about I am still doing it in the wheel chair but imagine, I am once again preaching while standing for long periods; praise the Lord! I am also very faithful with my physiotherapy and I’m really doing my best to build up the muscle.
OK it is time for me to close my eyes and try to sleep it is already midnight :)
