Suzette spoke at the Gideon's Army training conference in Leiderdorp, Netherlands on the 14th and 15th March 2009.
We were invited to minister at the Dutch church “Levenstroom” from March 14th – 15th. For Suzette, after seven months of a compulsory break it was a great challenge to find out how resilient she was and how people would react to her sitting in a wheelchair. But just to let you know; with God’s help everything went very well and the ministry weekend was a true blessing for the many participants and as well as for Suzette.
For a period of one year the “Levensstroom” church currently offers a special programme in evangelism and men and women of the “Gideon’s Army” (originating from Judges 7) come together for special training sessions every week and additionally once a month. As for this weekend, “Levensstroom” had expected about 300 participants but as a matter of fact 600 brothers and sisters in Christ from all over the Netherlands wanting to reach their nation with the Gospel took part in this special training weekend.
On Saturday, Suzette held two seminars on evangelism and intercession but on Sunday evening she brought a message that touched all participants very deeply and opened the eyes of many. She said that although born again, baptised, filled with the Spirit and loving the Lord we can come into the dangerous place of living under a spirit of slavery and not in the freedom that Jesus has paid for on the cross.
After Suzette’s preaching many people responded to the altar and made important decisions for their lives before the Lord.

Voice in the City was invited to the Dutch church “Levensstroom” in Leiderdorp from March 14th-15th. A training day had been planned for members of Gideon’s Army on this special Saturday. Over a period of one year, the 600 participants of Gideon’s Army meet once a week and additionally once a month on a Saturday to get trained in how to successfully reach their nation with the Gospel.
The focus on this day was intercession and evangelization. Suzette taught the participants that intercession and evangelization belong and must work together to bring in the harvest most effectively. The teaching was very practical and helpful and encouraged the participants a great deal.
On Sunday evening, Suzette preached a delivering message that we all need to hear again from time to time – a message proclaiming that we are indeed sons and daughters of God and that we have not received a spirit of slavery but a spirit of sonship! You could just sense that this special message fell deep into the heart of the people, and we are very grateful to the Lord for His work!
