Suzette and Gayle were invited to minister at the Elim Metropolitan Ladies Day on Saturday 12th September 2009 and for Suzette to minister at City Church, St Albans, Hertfordshire, during their Sunday morning service on 13th September 2009 and again for a healing meeting on the Sunday evening.

Ladies Day – Saturday 12th September 2009

This was a multi-church event and we saw approximately 400 ladies from churches all over the Elim Metropolitan Region, some arriving by coach, attend the meeting on the day.

The meeting opened with a time of praise and worship and one of the worship songs was particularly relevant for the day. It was “Glory” which included the lyrics “Lift up your heads, open the doors, let the King of Glory come in and forever be our God” and I can truly say that is exactly what happened, the King of Glory showed up and His presence was felt all around. One lady stood up and shared that she could see the Holy Spirit moving amongst us and He wanted to let us know that we were loved and she could see Him just wafting his love over us.

Suzette then began to speak words of knowledge concerning several healings that were about to take place, she called out a liver condition, severe migraine, spine problems and many more and as she called out individual complaints, ladies were acknowledging that they were suffering with such illnesses and through the word of knowledge, were expecting that they would be healed.

Before Gayle shared with the women what God had laid on her heart, miraculous healings had taken place and many were healed by God. It may not have been the way that we had planned the meeting, but it was the way that God had planned it. He is God and can do anything, anytime, anywhere He chooses.

Gayle shared with us how amazing it is that we as believers take the presence of God for granted, how we think that we can only get into the presence of God in a church meeting when in fact we can do that everyday in our lives. It is God’s wish for all of us to become spiritually mature no matter what our circumstances may be. She imparted that maturity is not a matter of age, appearance or achievement but that spiritual maturity is living the scripture and allowing the presence of God to work through us for the good of someone else.

As I looked around the room, I saw many coming in agreement with the nodding of heads and the raising of hands to what was being said.

The afternoon session opened with the song “How Great is our God” and His greatness was proclaimed throughout the day. Suzette asked the ladies who had received healing in the morning session to check that they were still pain-free which to the glory of God they were and one lady shared that she was still in pain during the morning session but realised that as Suzette asked to check that they were still healed that her pain had also now gone and everyone raised their voices in praise and thanksgiving to God.

Suzette opened the meeting by reading Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” When God deals with our character He first gives us the assurance that it is not under condemnation.

She also read Romans 8:14 -17 “because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share his sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.”

As Christians, we sometimes get disappointed when God does not answer the prayer we want Him to and when God says no, it is as much in love as when He says yes. Satan’s ultimate purpose is to destroy our faith and trust in God.

Suzette reminded us through her teaching that we had certain rights, freedoms and blessings as sons and daughters of God and yet very few of us live in those blessings. Through scripture and illustration, she showed us how we can move from the slave house to the master’s house.

We were truly blessed by the fellowship of the ladies from the Elim Metropolitan Region and the comments received were that many were blessed, healed and affected for Him.

We came away from the meeting reminded that “faith is believing that God is in charge even when it doesn’t look like it.”

Meetings at City Church, St Albans - Sunday 13th September 2009

Sunday Morning Service

Suzette opened the meeting by reading 1 Chronicles 13 and 2 Samuel 6 – when David became king.

She shared that preparation time is never wasted and that our attitudes will determine where the dream of the church goes as God has never changed His plan for the church. God has a vision for the church and each and everyone is a part of that plan. Sometimes the vision is from God but He has to readjust it according to His plan and it is the readjusting that we do not like because it takes us out of our comfort zone. It is at that time when most people lose their vision.

She encouraged the church to hold on to their vision and not lose sight of it and this was a message not just for City Church but a message for all churches to hold on to their vision. It is not the programmes or the systems that brings the word of God; it is each one of us who are the carriers of the word of God. God will change each one of us by dealing with our character and our attitude. God has called and anointed each one of us and before we can ever serve we have to learn to serve.

This was a time of encouragement for the vision of the church and for each one of us to look at our attitudes as whatever we do will determine our harvest or our spiritual bareness.

Healing Meeting

Suzette being in a wheelchair was no hindrance to what God had for the church during the healing meeting.

She encouraged us not to put God in a box but to let God do what He wants when He wants to do it, how He wants to do it and reminded us that healing is not the ultimate thing, salvation is. God will heal us because it is His character and although this may not be in our timing – God will heal!

We were reminded that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever – Hebrews 13:8. He is unchangeable and that God’s power doesn’t come in stages, God is always at His highest power. She took us through the scriptures revealing our miracle working God who never changes.

Suzette called out many sicknesses and diseases and saw a good majority of the church come forward for Suzette and the team to stand in prayer with them for their healing. Approximately 15 people claimed instant healing and that did not include those whose healings have to be confirmed by their doctor.

The weekend was a time when God put in His appearance and accomplished many wonderful things through Suzette and Gayle. We praise God for what He has done!
